So one of the questions I get asked pretty often is if I’m an independent real estate agent or if I’m part of a team, I guess essentially, there are two answers to that question. Ultimately, I am an independent real estate agent. What that means is you get me. You get me the whole time. You get me answering your phone calls and calling you back and responding to your emails, you get me running over to meet you.

If there’s a question or concern, you get me sitting down with you to go through all of your documentation, whether it be from me, from your lender, from an attorney, whatever the case may be, you get me that’s. Not to say that I don’t have a wonderful sphere of professionals that are available to help you. I can refer you to lenders to bank institutions. I can refer you closing attorneys if you need that for legal advice for title issues, I can refer you a plumber or landscaper.

I really have everything that you might need in your home selling process or your home buying process.

There are wonderful inspectors I worked with over the years that are extremely detailed and just about everyone you need. I’d have for you. The thing is, I’ve learned over time that although a real estate team can be great for a lot of people in my personal experience, I found that I would end up starting the process with the person I was referred to. I knew of. I knew the reputation, and that initial call was great, and I was excited about what was to come in the process.

And then I realized pretty quickly that that may have been the last time I spoke with them. Usually, that’s a sign of a successful agent being very busy, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. I’m busy as well. However, I really enjoy the one-on-one interaction. I like to sort of control if you will.

I’m sort of a control freak, so I need to know everything as it’s happening. Every question you have, every need that I need to meet for you. So I am an independent real estate agent. That’s why I chose to work with an independent real estate agency because I really like the personal touch that it gives both from my broker to his real estate agents, as well as what I’m able to give my potential clients. I love the ability to come to sit with you and chat about your schedule, bring a coffee talk, get to know you find out what your true goals are, whether you’re buying or selling.

There’s a lot that’s involved, and I really don’t want to start anything until I truly, truly get what it is that’s motivating you to start this process the first time. Homebuyers are so exciting, and they have so many questions, and I love answering them all because it’s just a fun experience for me to see all the excitement people that have owned their home for a long time and are selling for multiple reasons. I really like to kind of come alongside them and be a support and a source of strength in this process.

I’ll tell you, it gets stressful. It gets not always fun.

A lot of things can come up in the process. And so my job, I feel, is to make you as comfortable as possible, as stress-free as possible. We’re talking about your home. We’re talking about the future home of a new family. We’re talking about an investment that you’ve spent years in.

That’s why I loved doing this. I’ve always been in sales. I just have that personality that I really like dealing with people, and I love earning trust but really talking about your home or what’s going to be your home. It’s such a personal, wonderful thing, and I love to be involved with it. It makes me feel like what I’m doing has a real purpose.

And so again, that’s why I work independently for you, with you from beginning to the end. So when you call me, you’re getting me, and we can talk about how that works, too. Whatever level of communication you expect, that’s what I’ll deliver to you if you need to text me in the middle of the night because you’re freaking out about the inspection that was done. If you’re wondering if the offer you have in mind is a strong, solid one and you need some support there. If you need to be reassured as to how I came up with my listing price for your home, we’ll go through that as many times as you need to.

I want you to know that my job and what I take very seriously is to be a support for you. I want nothing more than at the end of this process for you to refer your mom-in-law to me, your cousin, your boss, and know that I’m someone that you can rest assured is going to deliver on their promises. There are real estate agents. I think you throw a stone and you hit one. You probably know someone, your neighbor, somebody in your family.

Even so, I get it. There’s a lot of competition. There’s a lot of people with a realtor’s license. That doesn’t mean that everyone is a good fit for you. So I really encourage you to reach out to me.

Let’s take the time to get to know one another so I can talk with you, talk with your family, talk with your spouse, and find out really what we’re looking to do here, how fast you need it done where you want to end up what your needs are and let me start to work on that for you. I’m Jessica Hayes, your home goal. Start here. I am your independent real estate agent. You get me from beginning to end, so let’s have some fun.
